The sunroom is spacious and bright, a wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee and paper. The centrally located dining area offers seating for 6 guests. There is a large fenced-in backyard that's perfect for pets or just to take in the beautiful Minnesota seasons and let the kids run free. The unit has free cable TV with HBO/Showtime and high-speed wireless internet. Both bedrooms have flat screen TVs, cable, and DVD players.

Bookings made within 7 days of arrival will require additional credit card documentation. A Minnestay Rental Agreement must be signed prior to arrival. This will require that you provide us with your email address. Please inquire about the terms and conditions prior to booking. No smoking inside of the home. This includes e-cigarette and vape. This property may have a noise monitoring device on the interior of the home. Additional noise monitoring devices may be located in gathering spaces on the exterior of the home, as well. No events! This home is designed for families and responsible adults. Restrictions include, but are not limited to: Weddings and wedding celebrations, bachelorette/bachelor gatherings, and reunions. Dogs only allowed with “Pet Friendly” listings. Please provide prior notice to Minnestay team if you plan to bring your pet. Pet fee required (fee dependent on dog count, starting at $150). Please note that you are staying in a private home and not a hotel. We expect that you will treat it with respect. Consumable amenities provided by Minnestay are not refilled during stay. Quiet Hours: 10PM-7AM. We love our neighbors! Please be respectful of the permanent residents on either side of this property. "A beautiful, comfortable and well-maintained older home with lots of conveniences such as free laundry in basement and a fenced in yard for pets. Loved the coffee shops and amazing restaurants literally within two blocks and convenient location to get around the cities. It was further from Lake Harriet and Lake Bde Maka Ska than I would have liked though I could have figured that out if I had looked more closely at the listing. Bed was very comfortable and it was clean. Multiple comfortable common spaces for hanging out. I would stay here again. Easy to park on the street in front."

"This unit is the lower floor of a duplex with a shared basement and stairs that go right to your back door. That was not on the description and due to the age of the home the floorboards creaked, and voices carried from the upstairs guests all day and night. We left early. The company admitted they did not include that info on the description so were planning to adjust the writeup, but did not give us a refund. The place is clean however I would make sure you don't need quiet if you book here."

"Nice stay! This AirBNB is the bottom level of a duplex on a charming old building. The neighborhood has a cute bakery, coffee shop and different stores within walking distance. We had no problem parking on the street and the place was easy to find. The hosts were very responsive to all of our questions, including immediate installation of some window unit ACs when the mini split system needed some maintenance. The laundry is shared within the duplex, accessed for free in the basement. We appreciated our stay."

"This is one of the nicest AirBNBs we have stayed in. We stayed for 10 days in July 2022 while visiting family and friends. As ex-residents, we were swayed by the location, but also the king size bed; neither disappointed.
The apartment had everything we needed. There we enough towels, etc for the week, the kitchen was well set up (buy your own groceries though), and check-in was seamless. There were also extra supplies downstairs and the laundry was very handy—there was even laundry soap and stain remover. The bed was super comfy and felt brand new but broken in. The smart speaker was nice for listening to music, and the front porch was lovely in the mornings. One evening, we even had friends over after dinner and sat in the living room and talked. We didn’t use the TVs but there is more than one and they’re big. Wi-fi was fast and reliable. The place was quiet. We heard footsteps upstairs a couple times but that was it. The hosts were super fast to reply to our queries. We’d rent from them again without hesitation.
The neighbourhood was very well located for us. We ate at Kyatchi and at Hola Arepas, both of which are a block away and delicious. 5 watt coffee was also good. We had a car—which I would recommend as Minneapolis is a very car-centric city—and it was easy to hop on 35W to get around, or to drive into Lynlake and Uptown. We went for a walk each morning in the neighbourhood west and south of us. Lots of gorgeous gardens to enjoy. And a mile east of the place is George Perry Floyd Square, which is a must-see. America has very few monuments like it."

"We stayed here Easter weekend for 2 nights as a family since my older kids attend the U of MN (we are a family of 6 but only 3 of us stayed overnight). We didn’t venture out to restaurants as we just wanted to hang as a family with some home cooking. The kitchen was well stocked and has a place setting for 8. I made all our meals here and we had a great time hanging out in the living room and dining room playing games I had brought. The management team was very responsive to an unfortunate leaky kitchen faucet Easter morning, and the owner himself was there to fix it within 40 minutes. The linens are newish and plentiful, and overall the house has been nicely refurbished to enhance the character of an older home. The pictures adequately represent the house. I would definitely stay here if ever such need arises again."

Older house, but well-kept. Easy, contactless checkin and checkout. Kitchen has everything we needed for our long weekend stay. Nice to have a dishwasher. Smallish bath, but nice shower and great bath amenities. It was just the two of us, but easy to have another couple or full family. Would stay here again anytime we were in Minneapolis."

"Booked this last minute for a work trip after having to cancel another Airbnb which was not clean. The place itself is very charming and looks just like the pictures. Check in was easy. Highlights of the house are the bright sunny front sunroom and the large fenced in backyard. Kitchen was very well equipped and we really appreciated the TVs in both bedrooms plus the living room. King sized bed was a luxury we weren’t expecting in an older house but was well appreciated. Only issue was that upon arrival, it was clear that someone had been recently in to install window air conditioner units which for a hot stay in late May/early June was appreciated, but one unit hadn’t been installed and had been left on the floor. A call to the management took a day to resolve but it wasn’t a huge deal. All in all would highly recommend!"

"This is a beautiful, welcoming, spotlessly clean space. The lower half of a classic Minneapolis duplex, there is gorgeous woodwork and a sun porch to die for. The location is amazing—walking distance to half a dozen wonderful restaurants and coffee shops, as well as to the Y; and easy parking, so as a home base for seeing the cities it’s ideal. Beds were dreamy, and so great to be able to bring my dog!"

"The photos of the location perfectly represented the home.
There was an amazing "binder" with all sorts of directions, information, and helpful local details. For a girl NOT from a snow area - insight on how that is handled (which streets/when) was awesome. I would not have even thought about it!
We had a small issue with acquiring the key - but it was quickly and easily resolved. I did wish the phone tree was a little better/obvious for how it worked (that a message would be immediately responded to). Regardless - I was able to talk to someone and have the issue resolved in less than 10 mins.
Parking was close no matter the hour. The coffee shop down the street was a great local place. Great/easy access to anywhere we went. Would totally stay here again."

"We loved staying at this home! It was quick access to both downtown Minneapolis and also St. Paul as well! We went to both a Vikings NFL game in Minneapolis and a Wilds NHL game in St. Paul. 10-15 mins to each location. Cozy feeling that we loved. I felt like I was coming home each day rather than traveling. Great cleanliness and communication. The extra details like a shaving kit, tooth brushes, shampoo, conditioner, plethora of towels and a full kitchen set up made this house easy to live in. We would definitely stay here again!"

"This place has everything you need, and many things you’ll enjoy. The kitchen, bedroom, dining, and family room are all tops. The bathroom is typical for the area and age of home — well maintained but on the smaller side. Most standard supplies were available, plenty, and an upgrade from what you’d find in many hotels. The place is also very well located. Parking on the street was always available, but with varying degrees of convenience. We did not take advantage of the alley parking mentioned in the welcome book. Great coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Our host Lance was incredibly responsive in the two moments he didn’t anticipate every question we may have. We felt very confident all would be well upon check-in and it was."

"I would definitely recommend this place for others to stay. The neighborhood is wonderful and parking outside was easy. Inside the house, we were welcomed with a nice bottle of wine, excellent directions for in-house guidelines, and suggestions for activities and dining in Minneapolis.
Once you're in this house, you can't hear the traffic outside because it's set away from the street and the unit is well insulated. We ate breakfast and dinner in the enclosed patio space facing the street and felt comfy. We enjoyed restful evenings in nice beds (with window A/C units that worked incredibly well), loved walks in the neighborhood, and even though the beautiful kitchen was equipped with all the amenities necessary, we walked less than a block away to get breakfast and coffee at Butter Bakery Café (they provide a living wage to their staff). The green, quiet and fenced-in backyard is an exceptional bonus.

"What a relief to have found Lance and his awesome property. We had reserved a different home for our travel and upon arriving found it dirty and with unsafe staircases. We quickly contacted Lance who was able to accommodate us on demand and we were in the new space in less than a hour.
His home was beautiful, well-appointed and felt like Home. He left a delicious bottle of wine for us to enjoy and a basket of toiletries in case we had forgotten anything. "This property is charming with comfortable beds, very clean and stocked with everything you need. Front sun room is a great spot to drink coffee. Icing on the cake - you can rent bikes from Lance and ride around the lakes. The location is great (very close to uptown) with lots of parking out front and walking distance from a few great restaurants. Don't hesitate to book! You will not be sorry. "Me, my husband and our two daughters visit Minneapolis every summer and usually stay with a relative, so this was the first time we sprung for our own place and I'm so glad we did. When we arrived there was a bottle of wine and glasses waiting for us. Nice touch. A few additional highlights:
* Good, central location (tho technically not in Uptown as my husband was quick to point out)
* Short walk to restaurants and shops
* Nice interior spaces, comfortable / huge flat backyard with shade sails
* TVs in every room—perfect when you want the kids and adults to be able to enjoy their own separate spaces
* Tons of street parking
* Washer and dryer
* Kitchen with everything you need to cook and entertain
* Lance is very quick to respond, he never left me hanging when I emailed a question
We stayed for a week and there was one day that we literally did not leave the house. We had visitors coming and going all day and it was just a great place to gather and hang out. Pretty sure we won't be staying with relatives... ever again."

"Our party included myself, my daughter and her husband, and their 16-month old baby. We stayed a total of 5 days and this unit was perfect for us. It was spacious, well stocked with everything you might need (including Pak and Play, high chair etc.), and was nicely maintained with modern appliances. The unit is in a safe neighborhood within walking distance of a great park with tennis courts, play equipment and an outdoor wading pool. We went to the park every day and also enjoyed the back yard eating area in the evening. We would definitely use this unit again when we return to the area."

"This was the perfect place for us to stay with our 2 adult sons over a long Father's Day weekend. The location was near parks, coffee shops and great restaurants. It was also close enough that our Minneapolis family could bike there. Lance was great to work with throughout the whole process, and he made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. Even though there was always sufficient parking on the street, it was nice to have the garage to park in at night. Our 2 year old grandson now calls this "Jampa's House." "This was our first experience with renting a VRBO and we were not disappointed! The flat was clean and well-appointed and very comfortable! We were in town for a wedding and our only regret was that we did not get to take advantage of all of the amenities or visit the neighborhood more because we were gone (and it was raining!).
Lance was very helpful in assisting us with the rental process as well as in answering any questions we had- before, during and after our stay. There was a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived, which was greatly appreciated after driving through rush hour traffic on a Friday!
We ordered pizza from Pizza Luce and would highly recommend and the breakfast at the Blackbird Cafe was terrific! We will definitely visit there again! Lance also had a guest book of other local establishments that we will check out on a return visit.
This is a great property. It is as advertised in pictures- or better. We will definitely return on a future visit! Thanks Lance!"

### Perfect for Our Minneapolis Adventure (5/5 stars)
"We are a retired couple that was traveling with my 87 year old mother. Lance's property was a perfect fit for our stay. We have always jumped on the opportunity to travel anywhere we can when we are able to find inexpensive airfare and so our Minneapolis trip came into being. The home is only 3 1/2 blocks off of Interstate 35 south of Minneapolis making it very convenient for our daily trips into the city to see the sights as well as for our day trips to Austin, MN to see the Spam Museum and up to Duluth and Lake Superior. All of the attractions we wanted to see in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area were within 8 miles from this location.The home was supplied with all the items needed for a comfortable stay - - a good supply of cookware all in excellent condition, as well as dishes, glasses, cups and silverware. Lance also supplied dishwashing liquid, dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, stain remover, fabric softener, dryer sheets, extra toilet paper, paper towels, miscellaneous items needed for the bathroom, tissues, all needed towels for the bath as well as extra blankets if needed. The beds (one queen and one king) were heavenly with their memory foam mattresses. The home is accurately portrayed in the VRBO photos. It had a Minnesota feel to it with all of the woodwork. We spent every morning enjoying the sunroom in the front of the house. We had no problem with access to the home, even though we arrived at about midnight, in that a lockbox with code was provided. From my first inquiry regarding the rental I received prompt responses. The whole process in renting with Lance was a stress free, pleasant experience. Should our travels have us return to the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, we will, without a doubt, be renting from Lance once again."

"My family and I looked at heading to Minneapolis for a NFL game. I was taken away by how expensive hotels were going to be, only because of the football game. So I looked down a different avenue, and that was vacation home rentals. Having never done this before, I cannot express how accommodating Lance was and made sure we had everything we could possibly think of. Upon arrival, we found the location to be ideal. There were several restaurants and shops within a block. It wasn't so close to downtown that you had to worry about all the hustle and bustle. Yet it was only a 5 minute drive away. We were still close to all the downtown activities. Now lets talk about the house itself. It was the most charming house, I fell in love with the historic character and original wood work. It was very spacious for the 4 of us. Plus it had a sunroom on the front that was used every morning! Lance had it fully furnished, making it ideal for any situation and group. It was incredibly clean and ready to go. Thank you Lance for allowing us the opportunity to stay in your rental home, I can't wait to come back to the Cities just to stay there again! I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the Minneapolis area."

"This is an outstanding place to stay. Very spacious, well planned. Living room has plenty of seating, good WiFi, and cable service. Check in a breeze, easy and frequent contact from Lance asking if we needed anything. I stay in VRBO's all over, and I always seek good kitchens. Lance had a great one, plenty of pots/pans, good knife set, excellent coffe maker,large full size fridge. I choose VRBO's to be able to cook a bit if desired, this hit the mark.
Main bedroom had a fantastic king bed, very comfy. Second bedroom also had a comy full size bed. He supplied ANY bathroom product you needed, including tooth[paste, never have seen that before.
All in all, a great place to stay, he even provided a detailed neighborhood report with restaurants, parks and more, it was very useful.
Trust me.... Stay there, you won't be disappointed!"

"I went to Minneapolis for a conference downtown, and stayed with some colleagues and my daughter at Lance's beautiful, clean, spacious, and welcoming home. It was everything we could have asked for. The space itself was impeccably clean and luxurious. The sheets and towels were high quality, the mattresses extremely comfortable. Lance thought of everything, from leaving a welcome note and bottle of wine, to providing a small basket with toiletries for guests to use. The location was great--very conveniently located for downtown access via car or bus, with lots of great eating options nearby. I have the best cinnamon bun and biscuit sandwich of my life at Butter bakery, just one block away. Finally, for an extra 10 dollars a night, Lance provided everything I needed for my baby, from stroller to high chair to pack-n-play, which you parents will know makes ALL the difference while traveling. And the space was very child friendly. All in all, a great experience. Recommended!"

Lance's place was so warm and welcoming for my work trip, which my baby and husband crashed for a few days. We absolutely loved the neighborhood, the restaurants, the proximity to the Lake and downtown. The place itself had great creature comforts, lovely lounging furniture, a nice kitchen with ample supplies to cook nice meals, two great bedrooms. With the baby, we appreciated all the television channels so in the middle of the night, when she woke up, we could cruise HBO or something, like we were truly on vacation. "This was the best location I have ever been privileged to stay at thru Air BNB. "Ideal" is the best word to describe this location, host and experience.
Location: Central to both downtown as well as the airport; lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Cab to downtown and back is sub $20.00.
Home:Stunning Craftsman with a BEAUTIFUL formal sunroom and porch on which to spend the laziest of days. TV setup was amazing and bed was great. No attention to detail was spared including all amenities, laundry facilities (and soap) and a delicious bottle of red offered for guests to enjoy. Lance has clearly spent tens to hundreds of hours preparing for his guests and imagining any and every thing they could possibly need relative to their stay. Truly the penultimate experience I have had on AIR BNB. I cant imagine finding another host as conscientious as this one , ever.
Privacy: Cant say enough good things about this. Place was quiet and host was as available as u needed him to be. Never met another host who respected my privacy this much.
Value: Place was a steal given the amenities , beautiful furnishings and ideal location. "

"Lance's place is very cozy with a lovely sunroom that's fun to have tea or coffee and read. The kitchen was well stocked, although we didn't cook. The beds were very comfortable. This is located very near some good breakfast eateries and several good evening restaurants. We also rented bikes from Lance, which was really fun to ride around the lakes. Lance was excellent to work with, helping to adjust dates when our travel plans changed and allowing a late checkout so we could shower after biking. He also was very supportive of any potential issues-which we had none. We enjoyed the complimentary wine left for us also. We plan to return since we will visit MN at least once a year."

"I always love coming to Minneapolis. We spent a lovely week and a half in Uptown Minneapolis in this extremely comfortable and inviting house. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and gorgeous weather. The beds are great, the kitchen very well equipped (made a huge pot of soup for my lunches), we walked all over to really good restaurants and coffee shops. We were so pleased that the house had an enclosed back yard for our dog and was within walking distance to two dog parks, perfect way for both of us to get our exercise. My favorite room was the glassed in front room. Thoroughly enjoyed having the sun coming in, a cup of coffee and my book. It was a perfect house for us. We look forward to returning soon! "Never had been to Minneapolis before and booked this on VRBO. What a gem in a very cool area. We stayed in the upstairs 1 bedroom and Lance provided an air bed for a guest we had for 2. Nights of our stay. Clean and well decorated inside but best of all the location is walking distance to great cafes and restaurants also to parks and lakes and things to do. The owner also provides lots of local info with maps and menus that are very helpful. The owner, Lance is also very responsive if you need anything at all. There was a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived, something we've never seen from other VRBO rentals. We were greeted with a bottle of wine, two wine glasses and a thoughtful thank you note from the owner, Lance, for renting his property. Attention to comfort of guests and quality were detailed throughout the condo. Both bedrooms had quality mattresses and flat screen TVs, and there was plenty of seating room and another flat screen TV in the family room - all the comforts of home. We successfully entertained my family with a large dinner, and they enjoyed the property as much as we did. My husband and I live in a 3000 sq. ft. home and decided that we could live happily in a 2-bedroom condominium like this rental. The owner, Lance, also compiled a wonderful reference book of local area shopping, restaurants and attractions. We only made it to one of the restaurants due to our limited time in the area, but would have liked to try out more, which were quite crowded when we drove by. "The apartment was just as in the photos. Very comfy and roomy for our family of four. The master bedroom and closet were bigger than the ones in my own home. Lance was very accommodating and let us check in 45 minutes early. We relaxed in air conditioned comfort while enjoying the bottle of wine he set out for us. There are several great restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance and you can get coffee starting at 6am and dinner until midnight. Really everything you might need was included. We even used the iron and ironing board.
Towels were fluffy and toiletries were incredibly well stocked. We had a delightful stay and would stay there again."

"We stayed one night at Lance's property. We highly recommend for couples or small family. Owners thought of every last detail and any guest would be comfortable here (not handicap accessible) for a short or long stay. The home was immaculate and shined it was so clean. Comfortable main bedroom, spacious living space and lovely sun porch as well as shaded, private backyard. The location is perfect and close toswimable lakes, bikeways, public transportation, tasty restaurants (we loved Pats Tap for brunch) and downtown and uptown mpls. This property will not disappoint."

"We loved Lance's "Uptown Urban Living"! The house was beautiful, comfortable and stocked with everything you need and more! We stayed in the bottom portion of the house. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The living room was a good place to kick back; the guys liked the large comfy couches. I especially enjoyed the front three season porch, it was delightfully decorated, bright and sunny. We indulged in a glass of wine, complements of Lance, in the fenced in back yard.
Another great perk of this property is it location, this house is close to and has easy access to the major hwy system.
Lance was easy to work with. He was quick to respond and very accommodating! We highly recommend Lance and his "Uptown Urban Living" house. We will definitely stay here again when visiting the cities!"

"The property is lovely, inside and out. All the small things that are easy to forget were there and also amenities that we didn't expect, but found really useful (highchair, travel baby bed, etc.) The Location was great for us, parents with small children. Groceries, coffee, cafe, restaurants, hardware, park with splash pad, all within walking distance. We rented bikes from Lance, which was very convenient. The bikes made accessing Lake Harriet and the associated bike paths, beaches, parks, and playgrounds quick and easy. Overall, we're really glad we stayed here and will very likely stay again when we visit the TC. This was our second VRBO experience, and the better of the two, though the first was not bad. "This lovely duplex made us feel like we were staying at a friend's home. Lance was very communicative and attentive despite traveling himself during our trip, we had a lovely bottle of wine waiting for us upon arrival and he was reachable when we had a question during our stay. Very nice furniture, well stocked kitchen utensils, clean and bright. The beds and TVS are better than we have at home, frankly. Spending the mornings with tea on the front sunroom was lovely. Great restaurants within walking get distance, we went to Butter nearly every morning. Great location, 15 minutes to airport, mall of America, easy access to downtown minneapolis and Como Park. "What a terrific vrbo rental!
We are regular vrbo users and regular visitors to Minneapolis, and Lance's place ranks among the best we've experienced.
It had everything we could possibly want, and if there had been something additional we needed, Lance would have seen to it in a flash.
He was the most attentive host we have ever had.
A highlight was the bed It was more comfortable than home!
Everything else went beyond our needs, like the complimentary bottle of wine waiting for us.
The location is simply perfect. It turned out that 2 of our very favourite Minneapolis restaurants were each a block away!
And a 20 minute walk takes you to Lake Calhoun, which then has a wonderful 3 mile walking/running/biking trail around the lake.
Next time we will take up Lance's offer to rent his bikes.

"VRBO needs to have a "> excellent" rating because 5 stars is simply not enough. Lance's property felt like home away from home. We have just moved to MN and in-between closing on our home and moving in, we stayed at this lovely location. It is situated in a great neighborhood close to good coffee and restaurants. We met a neighbor on the first day when we had a mishap (dropped the keys down the storm sewer). She came out and rescued us with a couple of coat hangers. What a wonderful welcome to Minneapolis. Lance has impeccable taste and is a lovely host. We greatly appreciated our stay and do recommend to anyone coming to Minneapolis. The only improvement I can even imagine would be to have bicycles available to rent or borrow. I would have used one to explore the area. This in no way detracts from our stay... it was great. "Lance's place was great! We walked in and felt right at home. We were in town looking for an apartment for my daughter moving to Minneapolis. She commented that she wanted to find an apartment like the one we were staying. The apartment was as illustrated in the pictures. There was a welcome note, a nice bottle of wine, and a professional instruction booklet. The apartment was VERY clean and spacious, the amenities plentiful, the sun room fabulous, comfortable beds and the neighborhood quaint. There are some great neighborhood coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. Five Watt coffee is a must(If you love coffee!) and is rated one of the top coffee places in Minneapolis. Butter Bakery is friendly with organic food, fair trade coffee and a variety of teas for the non coffee drinker. The apartment is not in the heart of Uptown. It is approximately 8-10 blocks away. This did not bother us and we liked not being so crowded. Parking was not a problem as it is in the heart of Uptown. There was street parking as well as a garage in the alley in back.
We never met Lance as he was traveling but he was responsive within minutes if we had a question. I was disappointed that we had to leave and move to another place as there was not availability for our last night. We would definitely stay with stay at Lance's place again in the future!"

"We had a short stay at this unit, our fourth stay here! It was a perfect few days, especially since it was our granddaughter's first baseball game! It is so comfortable, any needed items are provided, there's now a flat screen TV in the bedroom, and above all else, it's so convenient to get anywhere in Minneapolis! Lance is so accommodating and checked in during my stay to ensure everything was OK. The bed is so comfortable and it's great to return to after a long day and just settle in. "My son and I stayed here for almost a month and a half while he recuperated from surgery. It was like being home. Lance did everything he could to make us feel comfortable during our stay. His home is equipped with everything you could possibly need. We were minutes from the hospital, great shopping, lakes, airport and the heart of Minneapolis. We loved to sit in the sun room and watch the people go by, the bedrooms were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything you could need, and having on site laundry facilities was a big bonus. The back yard was fenced in for privacy, where we could enjoy the sunshine and birds. My dog loved running with the security of the fence. ### Great Location, Lots Close by (5/5 stars)
"My wife and I were looking forward to staying several nights at this property while we closed on purchasing a house in the neighborhood. It is classic South Minneapolis architecture with finished wood floors, ornate woodwork and a lovely sun porch where one can sip coffee while watching the morning activity. There is nothing like that in our home city of San Diego from where we are relocating. Our visit gave us a chance to experience the neighborhood's unique restaurants and convenient cafes. The house is close to downtown, the urban lakes and parks and the extensive "Greenway:" trail system. The Greenway allows biking, skating, running or walking on a dedicated, paved path that runs along the old railway right-of-way that used to service the grain mills of early Minneapolis (Mill City). It runs uninterrupted and free of motor vehicles for many miles to the outer suburbs. Trendy Uptown, just a few blocks away, offers more bars, restaurants and Lunds, a specialty grocery store. The Walker Art Center is just down the street from Uptown and we walked its' outdoor sculpture garden that sprawls beneath the edge of downtown. The property is on the city bus line and freeway access and exits are just around the corner. However, no freeway sound was noticeable. Access to the airport is easy from this location. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space for each resident to choose individual activities without disturbing co-lodgers. The gas stove was a treat and the full size fridge would serve the needs of a long stay. The host created an entertainment guide that was comprehensive, listing favored restaurants and lots of things to do. It was well presented to assure guests that they easily find the myriad of entertainment opportunities available in this community."

"We couldn't have had a better experience in Minneapolis and it has to do with the location of this house. This was the perfect spot to explore all of uptown, downtown, the lakes and make a trip to the Mall. This house was quaint just like the pictures.
We found our two favorite places to eat only blocks away; blackbird cafe and Pat's Pub (ate there twice). Public transportation spots on each block of Nicolett so it was very easy to get around. We actually ended up walking to the Lakes and Uptown one day. We can't wait to go back and hope this house is available."

"My two boys are in college in MN and we have been traveling each fall for at least two times each year and have stayed all over the twin cities. This is BY FAR the best location and equipped home we have stayed. My boys love to bring their friends over for home cooked meals during our visits and the kitchen although small is very well equipped with counter space, cupboards and all the supplies needed to cook. The large dining room table was perfect, the huge tv a big hit with all the guys. The sunroom was an extra delight for my daughter and me to enjoy some quiet time, reading and studying. The beds (kind in the master and queen in the extra bedroom) have great linens and are memory foam so very comfy. A/C worked great and was nice to be able to control it in each bedroom. I love having the ability to do laundry when traveling and the washer and dryer worked great. The bathroom is "older" and the toilet one of the small round ones but none of that would keep me from staying here again. (I just like knowing that to be prepared so thought I'd put it in the review). Towels and linens again were high quality. The neighborhood has wonderful restaurants, Butter Café and Pat's Tap were our two favorites and the easy on and off to the freeway made the commute to both our boys college and the airport easy. We enjoyed walks to the parks, lakes and even the famous Lakewood Cemetery was an unexpected treat. Lance was really easy to get ahold of and work with through our booking. I hope all these great things won't make it too hard for us to book it when we need to return!! :) "

"This beautiful old home is located in uptown and the local area is fantastic. There is a lovely bakery with yummy coffee one block away. There are many other places to eat within a couple of miles and you can get virtually anywhere on the bus line. The home itself is great. The sunroom is especially nice during a rainstorm when you can watch the weather and hear it pound on the roof. I would love to be there when it is snowing. One of the bedrooms is very small, but the bed is super comfortable and it worked well for my adult children. Most of our time was spent in the large den and dining room. The internet is strong, cable works well, and the table was really great for game playing. The kitchen is small but very nice with updated appliances and a coffee maker. The master bedroom has the best bed ever. We slept really well because the place is really quiet. The only negative was the bathroom had a tub you must climb into without anything to hang onto. This made it a little tricky for my husband who has mobility issues. Also, the only usable mirror is in the bathroom, so if you have girls who need a mirror to get ready they should bring one along. Overall, this property is great location, beautiful, quiet, comfortable, and the owner is great. I would definitely stay there again."

"From the moment we first saw the home online we had a feeling it was going to be a little piece of heaven for us. The owner is VERY accommodating and very nice, allowed us to use his washer and dryer while we stayed and I really appreciate that Lance! This home had plenty of space for our family of 4 to relax and watch movies together at night, home was clean and inviting, gas stove was awesome, fenced back yard was a life saver for our 2 boxers and the sun room was fantastic! We felt secluded which is what we wanted, yet so close to all the places we wanted to visit like Lake Calhoun and Mall of America. Close enough to walk to nearby shopping and restaurants and with the awesome weather here in the summer, what a great way to see the sites! Only negatives for our family were: 1. bathroom shower was small and we are not small people :) 2. locks were sticky so that made coming and going a little tricky and 3. Our mini van was too large to fit in the compact car sized garage and on street parking was difficult-however Lance was kind enough to let us park in front of his garage so problem solved there! We would definitely come back and stay here, what a charming place and what a nice homeowner!!!"

"We had a great, relaxing long weekend with our 85 year old moms in this home. They were crazy over the sunporch, especially for early morning coffee. An added bonus is that the house is so sound-proof, no one woke anyone else! My mom slept until 9:30 the first morning - and said she needs a mattress like that one - she was shocked at how well she CAN sleep! Certainly the dining room and outside canopy covered areas were highly used. We ate, and ate, and ate!It was a perfect spot to host our daughter's soon to be in-laws when they came for pizza!
With our daughter staying in that area, we are sure to be back to this lovely home. A word of caution: book early! Our next dates are already spoken for at this lovely home.

The rooms are large, closets are much larger than I've experienced at other older homes, and my Mother's Day brunch visitors were so impressed with it all! The sunroom is another added attraction -- perfect for morning coffee and reading the newspaper. The location is great -- anything you might need (restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations) are all within a short drive and, in some cases, even a short walk. It's not only close to Uptown, with plenty of activities, but is only 3 blocks from the highway that will take you to other parts of the city. Both of my sons live in Minneapolis, and there's no question I will rent this duplex again. I loved it!"

"I've been using VRBO for years and this apartment is easily one of the best places we've rented.
First, the owner.....I have never been so impressed with communication! He responded to all emails FAST (even when he was away from home) was super helpful, and was happy to answer my many inquiries (having never been to Minneapolis, I had several questions!)
The apartment.....SOOO charming! Beyond spotless! The owner cares about his property and it shows. I would rent it out to live in a heartbeat. Sparkling hardwood floors, great decor, original details (glass doorknobs, mouldings, etc.) Just perfect. COZY! We stayed in and cooked dinner one night and watched a movie. The living room sectional is big and comfy and coffee in the sunroom is an amazing way to start the day. Apartment had everything we needed.
Location....perfect for accessing all areas and neighborhoods. Uptown has a ton going on and walking around the nearby lakes was lovely. And it's a quick drive to anywhere you want to be! The city is so drivable!! Maybe it's me being a native New Yorker, but man, did I appreciate no traffic and the ease of taking drives throughout the city, checking everything out.
Book this apartment...you won't be sorry. It was awesome!

### Amazing Home in a Perfect Location! (5/5 stars)
"This beautiful home made our trip to Minneapolis such an enjoyable one. My daughter and I like to shop at the Mall of America on occasion and found this home to suit our needs extremely well. It is perfectly situated in the Uptown area with interstate access 2 blocks away. Ideally placed with a quick 10-minute drive to the "Mall" and also a 10-minute drive to downtown Minneapolis. The neighborhood is charming, safe, and quiet. There is a great local coffee-bakery shop 1/2 block from the house. I enjoyed my usual morning run all around the Uptown area and discovered many wonderful shops and homes. The home itself has been well cared for and the original woodwork, fixtures, flooring, and windows are in pristine condition. It is decorated perfectly and also with comfortable furniture. The updated kitchen has every convenience needed to prepare meals (although we didn't cook on this trip). The memory foam mattress in the master bedroom is extremely comfortable and felt like our Tempur-Pedic mattress at home. The front room was my favorite place to enjoy a cup of coffee every morning to watch the neighborhood awake and the sun come up. It is a delightful room where you could pass a great deal of time. My teenage daughter and her friend loved the abundance of DVD and TV channel choices after a long day of shopping. The outdoor sculpture park downtown by the art center was a wonderful way to soak in the spring sunshine and see the downtown skyline. We have rented homes from VRBO for the past 12 years both inside and outside the U.S. This home was exceptional! Most importantly, working with the owner was a pleasure. He was responsive to questions and very hospitable. I highly recommend this home. "

"We enjoyed our one month stay (our second one month stay at this location) with our two (1 & 3 yr. old) children. The house is located in one of the nicest areas of the Twin Cities, and is very warm, nicely decorated, with wonderful beds and accomodations. The owner is extremely hospitable and responsive. "I stayed here over a long weekend with my parents and our two black labs. We had a wonderful time in this cozy and very nice vacation rental. I really have nothing negative whatsoever to say. The unit was clean and well-appointed, in a great location that's convenient for getting to either downtown and other neighborhoods. There was plenty of space for the three of us and the dogs. The owner was responsive and friendly. It can be difficult to find places that allow pets and, for us, the dogs ARE family, so it's very meaningful to bring them along and have a nice place to stay without exorbitant pet fees. We'd definitely stay here again if we have a similar trip to the Mpls in the future."
