Are you looking for the most unique place to stay or host a dinner? Lyndale Church Lodge is the place! This incredibly unique property is a restored, deconsecrated church dating back to 1886. This 4,000 sq. ft. property is certain to leave your jaw on the floor!
Modern and Historical Features
Upon entering you will be blessed with a perfect mix of modern and historical features. The main chapel is sure to inspire awe as it has been restored to its previous grandeur with comfortable furnishings and modern touches. The main level sanctuary is a wide-open space that provides a one-of-a-kind experience. A massive 86” television projects over the original repurposed altar to enjoy game day, a movie, or use it as an oversized monitor for a presentation! Here you’ll also find a magnificent 10 ft snooker pool table. It’s a rare and unique table that will test your billiard skills on what will be the most challenging game you’ve ever played! The church is set up with high-speed internet to make your stay complete.
Sound and Relaxation
One of our favorite features here cannot be seen, only heard! The church has a Sonos sound system for your group to enjoy the magical acoustics only found within a church. If you prefer some quiet time, you’ll be happy to see a lovely library area with comfy seating complete with 12’ shelving, stocked full of books covering every subject you can think of. A marble chess table with throne style seating will draw you in for hours of strategy. Lastly, you can enjoy dining at our magnificent 12 ft. round dining table which conveniently seats 13 people.
Spacious Lower Level
The spacious lower level provides additional room to spread out and relax. Here you’ll find a gorgeously updated kitchen complete with custom cabinets and professional grade appliances, a dining area with a farmhouse table that seats 10, and a cozy living area with the original (updated) fireplace.
Comfortable Accommodations
Off of the lower living area are three bedrooms. Two are king bedrooms and the other has two queen beds. All bedrooms are complete with high-end furniture and mattresses to make your stay comfortable. There’s a full bathroom both upstairs and downstairs with an additional powder room in the lower level. The lower ¾ bathroom has in-floor heating for those cold days.

- Please note that you are staying in a private home and not a hotel. We expect that you will treat it with respect.

"We had a wonderful family vacation in Minneapolis and stayed at this beautiful church converted into an Airbnb. We had an issue the first day with the AC not working but the team was super responsive and even provided us portable ACs while they resolved the issue. I was pretty impressed with how quickly they dealt with the whole thing. We have 3 little kids and they loved the house and had lots of fun running around upstairs and playing. There is plenty of street parking and grocery stores and cafes near by! We had a great time!"

"If you're looking for a truly divine experience, look no further! This converted church turned lodge is a heavenly retreat with a twist. The place is massive – plenty of room to stretch out your legs and your imagination.
The bedrooms are sinfully comfortable, perfect for sleeping like an angel. However, the real fun begins when you explore the nooks and crannies filled with repurposed church relics. Imagine using a centuries-old church bench as your breakfast nook – it’s like brunching with history!
Now, I must warn you about the decor. Those fake apples on display are the real test of faith – they fooled our kids, who hilariously attempted to snack on them. Note to future guests: they're not the forbidden fruit, just a harmless prank!
Adding to the whimsical charm, we had a crow visit us, just like in a fairy tale. It swooped in, probably checking to see if our stay was up to par (it seemed pleased, by the way).
This place is a divine blend of comfort, history, and a space."

"I stayed at the church with two of my work colleagues for work we were doing in Minneapolis. To be honest I didn't know what to expect, it being a church, but I was pleasantly surprised. This ended up being one of the best choices we've made as far as lodging. The church is spacious and cozy at the same time. The drive into the city was barely more than 10 minutes. It has me thinking I'd like to come back and do some relaxing in the area just so I can stay at the church again."

"We rented this spot because we did not want to leave the building for three days. We had 84 - 21 year olds and we all had something to do at all times. It is very well appointed with lots of little sitting areas. We cooked all of our meals and watched a lot of college football. Very nice place - exactly as described."

"This place was perfect for our three-generation family reunion. There was lots of room upstairs for meals and games. The pool table was very popular with all ages, as was the grand piano and the big-screen TV for movies and games. The soaring ceilings are spectacular, creating amazing acoustics from the piano or voices.
The downstairs was very comfortable for sleeping and meals that were eaten at home. The snacks that were left for us were a nice surprise.
Everyone wants to stay here the next time we come to Minneapolis!"

"Yes, there’s the obvious “WOW” factor of the soaring ceilings and expansive square footage, but what you may not pick up on the website are the impeccable finishes — kitchen and baths are done to perfection, and stocked with top-notch products that make for lots of “can I just move in here permanently?” moments. Special shout-out to the management team, who were great with communication and help before, during, and after our stay. I highly recommend this space, which was at the top of our family’s Airbnb budget but so, so worth the splurge."

It was the perfect location to host our friends and family for a small gathering the night before our wedding and a great place for getting ready the day of. "Absolutely stunning building, so much character and brilliant "redesign" into an airbnb. Kitchen is completely and fully stocked with cookware, bring your own spices/oils. And cleaning supplies, they only had dish soap/dishwasher soap/laundry soap. If you're like me and like to wipe everything down before and after use- bring your own.
Everything else was just amazing, beds and linens top tier, towels big and lush. And then just enjoying the space with friends and getting beautiful 'gram shots!"

"We had a great stay and would book again. It was the perfect location for our family of six adults and one child to celebrate a late Christmas, and we had room for a few more relatives to join us for dinner. The space was gorgeous, clean, well appointed and very comfortable, plus lots of history. There was space to gather, or spend some time apart -- perfect for a family gathering! The pool table was a hit with all generations, and the old manual typewriter was a surprising hit with the six year old. The kitchen was well stocked and very functional for cooking Christmas dinner and other meals, with room for gathering.
Can't say enough about this place -- hope we have a reason to book it again!"
